Brief Description of Project:

The Port & The Post is a Maritime / Transport Museum and Community Complex designed for Port Williams, Nova Scotia. The project celebrates the people that live / once lived in the town, their industry and craft, and the dramatic 48ft tides of the Bay of Fundy. Seven buildings frame out two exterior courtyards, one dedicated to art and performance, the other to market space and dining. A pedestrian bridge connects to a lookout tower located across the river in the farmlands. The main exhibition building allows for boats up to 90ft long to enter and rise and fall with the tides, being stabilized by the historic berthing beds that were invented in the town.
