Brief Description of Project:

Uniting Artificial Intelligence Research and Contemporary Arts Exhibits, a monolithic building anchors itself in Montreal’s most recent emerging neighborhood, the Mile-Ex. Pierced volumes allow light in through curved openings, defining the quality of the lighting within and encouraging visual connections between different levels and different disciplines. Filtering light levels and contact points with the city, a black glass layer wraps the exterior facades and becomes transparent where slices occur, revealing the energy contained within.
