Vincent James, founder and principle of VJAA

VJAA is an internationally recognized firm founded in 1995 based in Minneapolis.  The practice produces innovative, high quality buildings through the synthesis of research and design, having received fifteen national design awards including six progressive architecture awards and four National American Insitute of Architects Honor Awards.  Four of these awards recognize the quality of built projects and material craft, and six honor innovative ideas in architecture.  In addition, their work has been published in multiple publications including Architecural record, A+U (Japan) and is the subject of a monograph recently published by Princeton Architectural Press.
