
Dalhousie students have started their summer courses and the new M1's (first semester master students) are experiencing architecture of India and the United States.
A studio group will be leaving for India at the end of June, while the Dalhousie Coastal studio has already left for New Orleans.
Dalhousie Thesis student, Grace Park, was one of several thesis students to present their work last week in the exhibition room. Below are a number of drawings she pinned up in exploration of the question:
"Can archetypes in the collective unconcious be translated to speak to the senses to create a space of meditation and spirituality?"

Vincent James, founder and principle of VJAA
VJAA is an internationally recognized firm founded in 1995 based in Minneapolis. The practice produces innovative, high quality buildings through the synthesis of research and design, having received fifteen national design awards including six progressive architecture awards and four National American Insitute of Architects Honor Awards. Four of these awards recognize the quality of built projects and material craft, and six honor innovative ideas in architecture. In addition, their work has been published in multiple publications including Architecural record, A+U (Japan) and is the subject of a monograph recently published by Princeton Architectural Press.
